Description
The Boot Zipper Pull was inspired by medieval “ex-votos” (Latin for “from a vow”), objects that pilgrims offered at shrines during the Middle Ages in hopes of miracles through saints’ intercession. Ex-votos were thought to be thaumaturgical, or miraculous, and could be purchased at sacred sites from nearby merchants, apothecaries, or church shops.
The boot shape is the Pilgrim Pouch brand logo, a medieval style shoe which represents the countless walkers who have trekked the Camino de Santiago over the centuries.
